Meet the author:
King Donovan

With his debut novel arriving this winter, it's an exciting time in the life of King Donovan. Though he may be the last to know about it. King (short for Kingston) lives off the grid on a ninety-acre ranch with his family and his coonhound, Brack. Let's just say it takes a while for latest news to reach the ranch. And that's just the way King likes it.

King grew up with one foot in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas, where his family traces their line back eight generations. He spent more than a decade as writer and editor of a small regional newspaper before he turned to writing fiction. DECEIVED is Book One in a four book series, THE DISPOSSESSED.

And you're among the first to know more:

Deep in the Ozarks -- amid the sprawling oak-hickory forest, across lush mountain valley farmland, down the rippling Pokeberry River -- nature's beauty is transforming into something ghastly. A child is found dead, a gruesome death that shatters the resilient folks of the isolated community of Katydid. Neighbor families who've known each other for generations soon feel estranged from one another. In a place so wild, so ravaged by economic collapse, so perennially overlooked and even scorned by outsiders, would anyone even imagine that this is more than just another backwoods tragedy... that it is the onslaught of a supernatural evil, one that can inhabit even your most cherished loved ones?
